The name means “secret sunset”, and the villa earns it: set back from the road behind a green gate, with a terrace that faces the sun as it drops behind Capri. Nobody can see in, and from the pool nobody would want to look anywhere else.
Four bedrooms, all with their own bathrooms, open on to terraces or the garden. The architects kept the old vaults and added big glass doors, pale microcement floors and furniture by Italian makers. A roof deck with a hot tub looks straight down to the water and has the best seat on the coast at 7:30 pm.
The kitchen is for people who like cooking: a six-ring range, a wood oven outside, a long table for ten. Marina di Praia’s little beach is reachable by 180 stone steps that start at the garden gate; the walk down takes ten minutes, and a bar there will bring you an aperitivo on the sand.
A local couple, Nicola and Rita, look after the villa. They greet you, stock the fridge on request and are one phone call away if the Wi-Fi sulks or the pool needs adjustment. The rest of the time the house is yours.

Optional extras
A private stairway leaves the garden gate and reaches Marina di Praia in about ten minutes (180 steps). A taxi or boat can bring luggage if needed.
We recommend ages 10 and over. The pool is not fenced and the terraces are steep.
Yes. The roof-deck hot tub is available all year at 38 °C; the pool is heated June to September and as an extra in shoulder months.

We rented for a week with another couple. The terrace at sunset with a negroni, the infinity pool at dawn, the wood oven for pizza on Wednesday: the house was perfect. Nicola and Rita are warm, discreet and resourceful.

We loved the view and the quiet, but the kitchen was missing a few essentials (a large pan, a working blender) and the Wi-Fi was weak on the lower floor. Hosts responded quickly and replaced things the next day.
