Seven arches line the loggia of Villa Sette Archi, and from each of them a different slice of the coast appears: Positano’s bell tower, the Li Galli islets, a long thread of lights that is Amalfi after dark. The house sits among terraced lemon groves at the edge of Montepertuso, high enough to be quiet and close enough to reach the beach by a ten-minute drive.
Five bedrooms spread across two floors, each with its own bathroom and a private corner of terrace. Floors are antique terracotta, ceilings vaulted, the kitchen big enough for a long cooking weekend. A long stone table under the pergola seats twelve and gets used most evenings.
The infinity pool is heated from April to October and edged with loungers and a plunge bench. Behind it, an outdoor kitchen and a wood-fired oven turn Sunday lunch into an afternoon. The Garden Cottage, ideal for an extra couple or a nanny, has its own entrance and terrace.
A housekeeper, Rosaria, lives in the village and visits daily to freshen the house and handle linens; a private chef or breakfast can be booked on request. We meet you at the gate, show you the shutters and the pool pump, then let you get on with the holiday.

Three generations, eleven of us, one long table. Rosaria arrived each morning with fresh bread and gentle opinions, the pool was warm and the views are ridiculous. The house had everything: spare chargers, extra pillows, a pizza oven we used four times.

The setting is wonderful and the pool memorable. But the air-conditioning in two bedrooms was weak, the pool pump was noisy on the first night and breakfast supplies ran short. The host fixed the pump the same day.

The house is stunning and the kitchen is well equipped. Be aware that the bedrooms are spread across several levels with many steps, which is hard for older relatives. Wi-Fi in the lower bedrooms was patchy.

The pool is heated from April to October (extra charge in April, May and October). It has a lockable gate on the terrace side and a shallow bench, but there is no lifeguard: young children need supervision.
