Slapdown turns WordPress into a full combat-sport network. Divisional rankings, fighter statlines, event cards, tale-of-the-tape comparisons, tournament brackets and a logged-in fantasy pick game all come from the bundled Stepfox Slap Stats plugin – not from a pile of manually written posts.
Enter a fighter once and their record, streak, knockout count and ranking follow them everywhere: the rankings table, the event card, the tale of the tape, the hardest-hitters leaderboard. Add a result and every one of those updates itself.
Built as a block theme with no design stylesheet at all – every colour, spacing value and breakpoint is an editable control in the Site Editor. Light and dark modes are one click apart.
Divisions and Rankings
Every weight class gets a page: reigning champion at the top, ranked contenders beneath, each row carrying record, knockouts and current streak. A hardest-hitters leaderboard sits alongside, ordered by measured force.
Event Pages and Full Fight Cards
A head-to-head hero with both fighters, their records and who slaps first, a countdown to the opening bell, then the complete card bout by bout – title flags, weight class and rankings included. Finished events swap the countdown for results.
Champion Watch and Fantasy Picks
Champion-watch pages track every title holder and the contenders behind them, while the pick game lets logged-in readers call the winners on any upcoming card – points for every correct call, bonuses for underdogs and title fights, and a running leaderboard.
