The Getaway theme turns WordPress into a direct-booking site for hotels, villas and vacation rentals. Stays, rooms, hosts and destinations are real records, so the map search, the rooms-and-rates table, the availability calendar and the checkout all read the same engine — the price a guest sees is the price the server charges.

Prices are computed on the server, every time.Seasons that wrap the new year, weekday uplifts, length-of-stay, early-bird and last-minute discounts, cleaning and other fees, VAT and city tax are applied by the engine for each night. The quote is recomputed at checkout, so a guest can never pay a price the engine did not offer — and unpaid checkouts hold the nights only for the time you set.

A split-screen map with price pins, clustering, draw-to-search, radius search and search-as-you-move. One shareable URL powers the hero search, the filters and the map; with dates, only stays that can host the party are listed, each with its cheapest bookable room.

Every stay sells itself
A mosaic gallery with lightbox, rooms and rates for your dates, an availability calendar with nightly prices, amenities, policies, reviews with sub-ratings, nearby places with walking minutes, the host card, a map with directions and a sticky booking widget with a live price breakdown.

03 · Rooms & checkout
Book direct through WooCommerce
Room pages carry beds, capacity, size, amenities and their own calendar. Bookings go through the WooCommerce cart and checkout — block or classic — so Stripe and every other gateway work unmodified; orders sync to reservations and guests find them under My Account › Trips.

05 · The Site Editor
Click any card, restyle any pixel
The whole front page opens as ordinary blocks. Select a stay card, the hero search or the destination strip in List View and restyle it per breakpoint from the sidebar — Stepfox Looks turns every choice into a block attribute, so there is no child theme and no stylesheet to maintain.

One menu runs the front desk
The plugin adds a single Getaway menu to wp-admin: stays, rooms and hosts with rate-plan and pricing-rule editors, an availability screen where you drag across days to block, re-price or restrict, a bookings screen with manual bookings, a dashboard widget for arrivals, departures and occupancy, and WP-CLI commands.
