Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of stepfoxthemes.com, its demo sites, and the WordPress themes and plugins (“Products”) sold there by StepFox LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company trading as StepFox Themes (“we”, “us”). By using the site or buying a Product you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and the License. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Accounts

You need an account to download purchases and receive updates. You must be at least 16, give accurate details, and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, are used for fraud, or abuse our support or systems. One person may not create multiple accounts to obtain repeated refunds or trials.

3. Products, prices and payment

All Products are digital downloads. Nothing is shipped.
Prices are shown in US dollars excluding tax. For customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, VAT at the rate of your country is added at checkout, as the law requires for digital products. VAT-registered businesses can enter their VAT number at checkout; if it validates against the EU (VIES) or UK register, no VAT is charged and you account for it under the reverse-charge rules. Bank and currency-conversion charges are yours. We may change prices and run promotions at any time; the total shown at checkout is the price you pay.
Payment is taken by Stripe when you place the order. We do not store card details.
By placing an order you make an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we send the order confirmation email with your download links.
If a Product is listed at a clearly wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

4. Delivery, updates and support

Download links are shown on the order confirmation page, in the order email, and under My Account → Downloads. Delivery is immediate.
Updates are delivered through the updater built into each Product and through My Account, free of charge for as long as we maintain the Product.
6 months of support is included with every purchase, starting on the order date. Support means help with installing and setting up the Product, and fixing bugs in it. It does not include customisation, building your site, third-party plugin conflicts we did not cause, or hosting issues. Bugs reported after the support period are still fixed in updates where possible.
Support is provided by email and the contact form during our working hours, usually within two business days.

5. License

Our Products are released under the GNU General Public License (100% GPL). Your purchase buys access to the download, updates and support, not exclusive ownership of the code. The License page explains what you may and may not do, including the rules for demo content and third-party assets.

6. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

Our Refund Policy gives you 7 days to ask for a refund for any reason. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content: by ticking the box at checkout you ask us to start delivery immediately and acknowledge that you lose the statutory right of withdrawal once the download is available. Our 7-day refund policy still applies on top of that, and nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumer law does not allow us to limit.

7. Acceptable use

You must not: use the site or Products for anything unlawful; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, other accounts or our servers; scrape or copy the demo content; resell or redistribute download links, accounts or support; upload malware; or use automated tools to place orders or create accounts.

8. Intellectual property

The StepFox name and logo, our product names, the design of this site, product descriptions, screenshots, and demo content are owned by us or our licensors and are not covered by the GPL. You may not use our trademarks to suggest we endorse your site or product. Demo images, sports data, team names, logos and other third-party material shown on the demos belong to their owners and are used for demonstration only; see the License page.

9. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, email support@stepfoxthemes.com with the URL, a description of the work, your contact details and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will remove infringing material promptly.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these Terms and to the extent consumer law does not allow us to exclude them, the site and Products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that a Product will work with every host, plugin or WordPress version, or that the demos are error-free. Sports statistics on the demos are illustrative and may be out of date.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from the site or a Product. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Product is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your use of a Product on your own sites, including content you publish with it.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. Changes apply to orders placed after they are posted; the Terms in force when you ordered continue to apply to that order.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
