Getting started
Four short steps take you from the download to a site that looks like the demo. Open any step for the details.
Install the theme and its plugins
Log in and open My Account → Downloads. Each product lists its theme zip and the plugins it needs, marked (required): StepFox Looks, plus the data plugin that powers our sports and listings themes.
Install the plugins first (Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin), then the theme (Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme), and activate it. Where an Elementor edition exists it is a separate zip; install one edition, not both.
Make it look like the demo
Themes that ship a demo importer add Appearance → Install Demo after activation. One click installs the demo pages, posts, menus and media.
Sports themes fill themselves from live league data instead: the plugin shows a first-run notice offering to import the current season, and keeps the data up to date on a schedule. Block themes carry their header, footer and templates in the theme files, so the layout is in place as soon as you activate; open Appearance → Editor to change it.
Update a theme or plugin
Updates arrive through the normal WordPress updater. When we release a version, Dashboard → Updates and the Themes and Plugins screens show it like any other update. Press Update; no licence key is needed.
Update the companion plugin together with the theme, since we release them as a pair. If you have edited theme files directly, back up first or move your changes into a child theme; changes made in the site editor survive updates.
Get support
Every purchase includes six months of support from the order date, and updates stay free for as long as we maintain the product. Support covers installing and setting up the product and fixing bugs in it; customisation and building your site are quoted separately.
Email support@stepfoxthemes.com from the address on your account, or use the contact form. Include your order number, the site URL and what happens versus what you expected. We reply within two business days.

Are the themes easy to use?
One of the core beliefs we base most of our work on is simplicity and easy-to-use features. We do not want to over-complicate things with unnecessary distractions, or clutter the space with non-essential features, while still offering flexibility and customisation.
In other words, we seek the balance. If you get stuck, our support team is one email away.
I have made an order. What now?
You receive an order email with your download links, and the same files are always available under My Account → Downloads.
Install the plugins marked (required) first, then the theme, and follow the Getting started steps above to import the demo content.
Is coding knowledge needed?
No prior coding knowledge is needed to run our themes. Basic WordPress knowledge is all it takes to install, set up and customise a theme, so you can have the website up and running in no time.
If you do have experience in code and design, there is no limit to how far you can customise a theme to fit your needs.
Do I need Elementor or another page builder?
No. Our themes are built with WordPress core blocks and the site editor, and our free StepFox Looks plugin adds responsive styling controls on top.
Several products also ship an Elementor edition as a separate download for people who prefer that editor. Pick one edition per site.
How many sites can I use a theme on?
As many as you like, yours or your clients’, with no extra fees: every theme and plugin we sell is 100% GPL.
Downloads, updates and support are tied to your account and are not transferable, and if you refund a product that access ends. The License page has the details.
Do I get unlimited support and free updates?
Every purchase comes with six months of support from the order date and free updates for as long as we maintain the product, delivered through the built-in updater.
Once you become a StepFox theme user you join a bigger family of website owners, WordPress enthusiasts and developers who like to help each other out.
I do not like the price. Can I get a discount?
Occasionally we run sales where certain themes are discounted or sold as part of a bundle, and now and then we give away discount codes or even whole themes. For the most part prices stay consistent and, most importantly, fair.

Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 7 days of purchase and we refund the full price, no questions asked. After 7 days we still refund when a product has a bug or malfunction that stops it working as described and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time. Please give us the chance to fix it first; most issues are solved with an update.
