Villa Rondinelle sits on the sunset side of Capri, high above Anacapri, where the lanes are narrow, the walls are white and the swallows that give the house its name arrive every spring. It is a house for people who prefer long lunches and the evening light, with a sweep of sea on three sides.
The villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an open-plan living room with a fireplace and a hanging garden outside. The pool is set into a stone terrace and shaded by a pergola of lemons. There is a barbecue, a stone table for twelve and a terrace at the top of the garden for watching the sun go down.
A small garden suite with its own entrance sleeps two and can be booked with the villa or on its own. Both units have air conditioning, fast Wi-Fi and kitchens stocked with good pans and glasses. Dogs are welcome on request, and the walled garden is secure.
Anacapri’s Piazza Vittoria, the chairlift to Monte Solaro and the walk to Villa San Michele are all within fifteen minutes. We can send a car to Marina Grande, book dinner at a family trattoria and leave a welcome basket of bread, tomatoes and cheese in the fridge.
