About this stay
Podere Ulivo Alto stands on the ridge at Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, the Sorrentine hilltop village that looks across two bays at once: Naples to the north, Salerno and Positano to the south. The farm has about three hundred olive trees, a lemon grove, vegetables, chickens and a pair of cheerful goats.
We have four room types in the converted farmhouse and a stone barn, each with terracotta floors, wrought-iron beds and linen from the local weaver. There is a pool with a view of both gulfs, a long pergola for dinners and a quiet reading terrace at the top of the olive terraces.
Dinner is a set menu, cooked by Nonna Rita and her daughters in the farm kitchen: homemade pasta, vegetables from the garden, grilled meat and a lemon dessert. Wine is from neighbouring growers and the olive oil is pressed on site every November. We also run a small cooking school for guests.
The farm is a good base for walkers: paths lead down to Marina del Cantone and along the Punta Campanella trail. You will want a car for the beaches, but the village of Sant’Agata, with a couple of bars and a pharmacy, is a short stroll away.

Do I need a car?
Yes, we recommend one. A local bus runs along Nastro Verde to Sorrento, but evening service is thin. We can arrange pick-ups from Sorrento station.
Is dinner included?
Breakfast is included. Dinner is a set menu by reservation at €38 per person with wine; book by noon.
Do you take dogs?
Yes, dogs are welcome in the grove and most rooms. There is a small per-stay fee and a farm cat who will test their manners.
Is the pool open all year?
The pool is open from May to early October. In winter the farm is quiet and the fireplace is lit.
Can children help on the farm?
They love it. Egg collecting, goat feeding and picking vegetables are part of the daily routine, and the cooking class is child-friendly.
