Resort Ulivi e Mare sits among two hundred olive trees on the hillside above Maiori, high enough for the air to feel cooler and the view to open across the whole bay. The resort was built in 2019 on a former family farm, with low whitewashed blocks that follow the terraces and keep the grove as the main attraction. It is a retreat in the proper sense: spacious, unhurried and designed so that most of your day happens outdoors.
There are 34 rooms and suites in six categories, all with terraces or balconies, natural linens and oak floors. Garden rooms look onto the olive trees; Sea View rooms look across Maiori’s beach and the Capo d’Orso headland; the Family Suites have two bedrooms and a small kitchen corner; and the Pool Suites step straight into the water. Our Penthouse Spa Suite has its own sauna and a private terrace with a sunset-facing hot tub.
The heart of the resort is the 25-metre infinity pool and the spa below it: a heated indoor pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish hammam, a gym with sea views and a small yoga pavilion in the grove. Terrazza Ulivi, our restaurant, serves breakfast until noon and dinner built around our own olive oil, lemons and vegetables, with a children’s menu that actually tastes good.
A free shuttle runs between the resort and Maiori’s seafront every half hour, which gets you to the beach in five minutes. The Path of the Lemons to Minori begins in town and Amalfi is a 15-minute drive. Parking is free and includes six EV chargers. Families, couples and groups of friends all find their own corner here, and the quietest hours are often the best.

Compared with Positano or Amalfi, this is great value. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast could be a little more varied and the Wi-Fi was slow in the garden rooms, but the spa and pool more than make up for it.

We needed a few days of rest after a busy trip and this was exactly right. The olive grove is serene, the pool endless and the staff genuinely warm. Sea View room balcony at sunset with a spritz is hard to beat.

Beautiful grounds, incredibly peaceful, with a yoga class in the grove that was a highlight. The Pool Suite was a treat. Dinner on the terrace used mostly local produce and the olive oil was superb. We have booked again.

Lovely resort, but the pool area was very busy in August and sunbeds were reserved from early morning. Staff did what they could. Rooms are fine and the grounds are beautiful. We would return off season.

Beautiful room with a big terrace, good food and a fantastic pool. The road up to the resort is steep, so a car or the shuttle is advisable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Send another messageA free shuttle leaves every 30 minutes from 09:00 to 19:30 and takes five minutes to Maiori’s seafront. It is a 15-minute walk down the hill, steeper on the way back.
Guests have free access to the heated indoor pool, Finnish sauna, hammam and gym; treatments are booked separately. The spa is open 10:00–20:00, and children under 14 may use the pool until 17:00 with an adult.
