Wild card rout: Texans bury Steelers 30-6

Houston Texans are through to the divisional round after a 30-6 win over Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, Pittsburgh, PA.

The margin was set up before halftime and the second half was a formality played out in front of a building that had already made up its mind.

Texans took the 5th seed in the AFC off a 12-5 season; Steelers were the 4th seed at 10-7.

What the box score does not carry is the personnel chess. Heavier packages early forced a matchup that never got fixed, and by the fourth quarter the adjustments were coming too late to matter.

A crowd of 67,297 watched it.
