Marechiaro is a postcard fishing village at the foot of Posillipo hill, famous for its song and its clear water. Casa Marechiaro Blu stands halfway down the lane that leads to the cove, a pale-blue house with a pergola of wisteria, a terrace over the sea and the kind of quiet you do not expect in Naples.
The Sea Terrace Apartment has two bedrooms, a bright living room with a kitchen and a long terrace with a table for six, from which you look across the bay to Vesuvius. The Garden Studio, at the rear of the house, has a double bed, a kitchenette and a patio under the lemon trees. Both are cool, bright and simply furnished.
Posillipo is the green headland west of the city: villas, pines and little coves. You can swim from the rocks, walk to the archaeological park of Pausilypon, or take the bus to Mergellina and the Lungomare. The historic centre is thirty minutes by bus or twenty by taxi, so you can combine a beach holiday with Naples.
The house has a parking space for one car, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a washing machine. The owner, Giulia, lives in Chiaia and will leave a welcome basket and a hand-drawn map of the best places to swim and eat on the hill.

Wir saßen jeden Abend auf der Terrasse und schauten auf den Vesuv. Die Bucht von Marechiaro ist zum Schwimmen perfekt, und das Stadtzentrum ist mit dem Bus erreichbar.
