We are the Russo family, and Casa del Campanile has been ours for four generations. My grandfather was the bell-ringer, which is how the house ended up wedged beside the cathedral tower, and on Sundays you will hear him still, in the sense that the bells have not changed. We restored the upper two floors in 2023 into two apartments, kept the old chestnut beams and ordered the tiles from a workshop in Vietri.
Terrazza del Campanile is the bigger one: a bright one-bedroom with a full kitchen, a sofa bed for a third guest and a terrace on the roof where we put a table, two chairs and a view across tiled roofs to the sea. Studio del Limone is on the ground floor, opening onto a small courtyard with a lemon tree, ideal for one or two guests who want to feel at home rather than in a hotel.
Because it is a house and not a hotel, there is no reception desk, but one of us is always within a phone call and often on the stairs with a bag of tomatoes. We leave breakfast basics for the first morning and a handwritten map of where to eat, where to buy bread and which walks to try before the buses arrive. Lucia, my mother, teaches a small pasta class at the kitchen table if you ask nicely.
Ravello is car-free in the centre and our lane is a ten-metre stroll from the square. The nearest parking is five minutes away at the edge of town. It is a simple, honest place to stay, with proper coffee, good pillows and a family who will happily tell you everything we know.

Optional extras
Walk from the bus stop or the car park to Piazza Duomo, then take the lane to the left of the Cathedral. We will send a short video and a pin; one of us will meet you if you wish.
No parking at the house. The nearest car park is 5 minutes’ walk and costs about €20 a day. We can send a porter with a trolley for your luggage.
Induction hob, oven, fridge, Moka and espresso machine, pots, plates and glasses for four, olive oil, salt, coffee and tea. Studio del Limone has a kitchenette with two hobs.
Yes. We provide a cot, a high chair and a bath mat. Please note that the stairs are steep and there is no lift.

Perfect spot, three minutes from the square, with a roof terrace we used every day. Bring light luggage because there are many steps and no lift. The kitchen was better equipped than most holiday rentals we have used.

We stayed a week in Terrazza del Campanile. Ravello empties out in the evening and the terrace becomes your own private belvedere. Easy Wi-Fi, comfortable bed, and breakfast basket on day one was a lovely touch.

The terrace is a dream and the family went out of their way. Lucia’s pasta class was the best evening of our holiday. The bell rings every quarter hour, which we found charming, but light sleepers should know.
