About this stay
Casa Campanile sits on Spaccanapoli, the straight line the Romans cut through Naples, the street that “splits” the city. A few metres away, the bell tower of Santa Chiara rises above the rooftops; the apartments are named after it. This is the historic centre at its liveliest: scooters, laundry lines, church bells and street food.
There are three apartments in a seventeenth-century palazzo, all renovated with an eye for Neapolitan detail. Floors are in original cotto and majolica, ceilings are vaulted or beamed, and the walls have been left in warm plaster. The Bell Tower Loft has a mezzanine and a roof terrace with a Vesuvius view; the Courtyard Two-Bedroom suits families; the Majolica Studio is a compact city-break base.
Everything you came to Naples for is within a short walk: the Santa Chiara cloister, the Sansevero Chapel with its Veiled Christ, the Duomo, the Archaeological Museum and a hundred pizzerias along Via dei Tribunali. Naples is a loud, generous city; the palazzo’s courtyard apartments are quiet and cool.
The apartments are self-contained, with kitchens, washing machines, coffee machines and fast Wi-Fi. The host, Giulia, lives in Chiaia, and her cousin Raffaele looks after the Centro Storico apartments in person and will meet you with keys and a map.

Is the building noisy?
The street is lively until late. The Courtyard Two-Bedroom and Majolica Studio face the inner courtyard and are quiet; the Bell Tower Loft faces the street.
Is there a lift?
The palazzo has a small lift to the fifth floor. The courtyard apartments are on the first and second floors.
How do we check in?
Raffaele meets you at the door with keys, or you can use self check-in. Instructions are sent the day before.
Is it safe to walk at night?
Spaccanapoli is lively and well lit. As in any busy city centre, watch for pickpockets in crowded places.
Do you provide transfers?
Yes. We arrange private car transfers from Capodichino Airport and the Molo Beverello ferry port.

Wir wohnten im Loft und haben die Dachterrasse mit Blick auf Santa Chiara geliebt. Pizza vor der Haustür, Museen zu Fuß. Die Gastgeber waren herzlich und gut organisiert.

Authentic Naples with comfort
The courtyard apartment was quiet and cool, and we walked to everything. Raffaele gave us a hand-drawn map with his pizza picks. We loved the majolica floor and the strong coffee.

Great base for Naples
Clean, comfortable and perfectly located. The stairs to the loft are steep and the street is lively, but that is Naples. We enjoyed the underground tour.
