About this stay
Casa Duomo Suites occupies a fifteenth-century house on the edge of the cathedral square, a few steps from the Duomo’s bronze doors. It looks old from the outside and feels new inside: oak floors, linen sofas, white kitchens with copper taps and a lot of light for an old building.
There are three suite types, from a studio for two to a two-bedroom suite for five. All have a proper kitchen, air-conditioning, a washing machine on request and a small desk, so they work for a weekend or a month. Some have a balcony over the square; the top-floor ones look at the cathedral’s majolica dome.
The roof terrace is shared and quiet: loungers, a long table, a barbecue on request. At the entrance, a concierge desk is staffed from 8 to 20 with the maps, the bus times and the names of three bakeries.
The square is pedestrian and the entrance is about forty steps from the nearest road; the building has no lift. We can arrange a porter and a transfer from Naples, and we stock the fridge with breakfast on request. In a town of postcards, this is a place to live like a local.

Ideal for a longer stay
Two weeks in Amalfi in the Studio Suite. Washing machine and quiet streets after 22:00, strong Wi-Fi for my work calls and a friendly host. Would absolutely book again.

Lovely apartment, exhausting climb
The apartment is nicely done but the climb to the fourth floor with two suitcases was brutal and the hot water took minutes to warm. We had not understood from the listing that there is no lift. Staff were kind and carried bags.

How do I reach the apartment with luggage?
The street is pedestrian. Taxis stop at Piazza Flavio Gioia, 150 metres away, and a porter takes bags for free on arrival (€10 at departure).
Is there a lift?
No. The suites are on the first to fourth floors, with up to 70 steps.
Can we cook?
Yes, every suite has a full kitchen with oven, hob and fridge. Basic pans and pantry staples are provided.
Do you offer cleaning during longer stays?
Stays of seven nights or more include a mid-stay clean. Other stays can book one as an extra.
