Casa Duomo Suites occupies a fifteenth-century house on the edge of the cathedral square, a few steps from the Duomo’s bronze doors. It looks old from the outside and feels new inside: oak floors, linen sofas, white kitchens with copper taps and a lot of light for an old building.<\/p>\n
There are three suite types, from a studio for two to a two-bedroom suite for five. All have a proper kitchen, air-conditioning, a washing machine on request and a small desk, so they work for a weekend or a month. Some have a balcony over the square; the top-floor ones look at the cathedral’s majolica dome.<\/p>\n
The roof terrace is shared and quiet: loungers, a long table, a barbecue on request. At the entrance, a concierge desk is staffed from 8 to 20 with the maps, the bus times and the names of three bakeries.<\/p>\n
The square is pedestrian and the entrance is about forty steps from the nearest road; the building has no lift. We can arrange a porter and a transfer from Naples, and we stock the fridge with breakfast on request.
